Kougioumtzoglou mansion, which hosts the Folklore Museum of Xanthi, is by itself an exhibit revealing the history of a town which flourished economically in the 20th century. The museum displays artifacts from Xanthi’s peak period, with special reference to the tobacco merchants, the middle class, the agriculture and the cattle-farming sections. There is also a section displaying the professional orientation guide of 1910-11.
