Information:

The museum presents the treasures found within the Royal Tombs: the solid golden shrine, Philip’s II golden oak wreath and the most important original work of ancient Greek painting; the fresco depicting the abduction of Persephone.

Byzantine Museum of Veria
Information:

The Byzantine Museum is housed within the old flourmill of Stergios Markos and displays exhibits from the prime period of the city during the Byzantine and Post-Byzantine Times. Frescos, mosaic floors, sculptures are some of the exhibits that reveal the culture of Veria along with its influences.

Archaeological Museum of Veria

Information:

The Archaeological Museum of Veria houses and exposes findings from all over Imathia’s Prefecture. The entrance is dominated by the extraordinary marble Medousa’s head, symbol of the north gate of the city walls, whereas in the museum’s garden numerous funerary and honorary altars lie. The most important exhibit is the inscription bearing Veria’s ''Gymnasiarch's law'', which describes how middle and senior education was conducted in the ancient Gymnasium of Veria.
